Who Am I?

Hello everyone!

I’m Ann.

A Stay home mom,

An Art teacher,

An Art lover and  

A Lifestyle photographer.

I am from Hong Kong. I graduated from the Education University of Hong Kong, majoring in Art and Education. I moved to the US after getting married to my husband, we now have two sons. When my first child was born, my husband and I decided that for the first 5 years, taking care of our boys was our No. 1 priority.  My boys are now in Grades 2 and 4 this year and so we decided that now is the time for me to pursue my dream and goals!  With their support and encouragement and my passion for art, I am going back to teaching the Arts and sharing my passion with others.

In my spare time, I enjoy making unique and cute art pieces and cooking yummy food with my family. I love taking pictures to capture the precious moments for the people around me. I also serve in my church’s activities and ministry.

Why name the website “Annic Dot Art”?

Annic is my name 

Art is what I am passionate in teaching 

Dot is not just a geometric shape or a symbol of being done BUT … 

“Dot” is special and meaningful to me. I love Dot and love to draw Dot artworks. When I was a toddler, I enjoyed using pastel to draw dots representing sand on the beach. Even now, my mom is interested in finding out why I am fond of dots! I also view and describe the shape of stars like dots in the sky.  

To me, “Dot” has a deeper meaning. A Dot marks the beginning and the end of a line in drawing. It is the basic element of Art, a symbol of life. I believe that one should start to follow their dreams and treat them as the beginning of a life journey. Follow your path and never give up,  your goals will be attained and accomplished. 

Art is a way of life.
